Gay horror realness

Our mission

Every film from Black Lodge Productions thrusts queerness into the spotlight of the horror genre. Whether our films are gory, mysterious, hilarious, or terrifying, we vow to highlight lgbtq voices both in front of and behind the camera. queer people are underrepresented in the genre we adore, and Black Lodge Productions will provide the trans heroes, lesbian Final Girls, nonbinary ghost hunters, and bisexual monster killers we deserve.

  • Sam Gianfala

Sam fell in love with horror when he watched John Carpenter’s Halloween at 12 years old, and in that moment, he decided he wanted to make horror movies. After moving from Louisiana to California, he studied Film and TV Production at Loyola Marymount University, where he made a commitment to include queer voices in every film he makes. Sam’s films deal with his personal relationship with gender identity and sexuality through thrilling, unnerving, and witty stories, and he aims to combine scares and queerness into original horror films that make everyone scream.
